Or the water or insects responsible for the damage could spread to the floor joists or wall studs and the cost to replace the floor joists and subfloor will be much higher than simply replacing a section of the subfloor.
The first step to replacing rotted flooring in a mobile home is to remove the trim and floor covering.

Cut out the damaged section of flooring by locating the floor joist and carefully cutting out the flooring to the center of the floor joist on both sides of the hole.
It may require nothing more than simply sealing small gaps around your window panes with caulk.
Vinyl will usually need to be cut around the perimeter of the room and tile will need to be ripped up.
Use a shallow setting on the saw blade to avoid cutting into the floor joist.
